On July 13th, 2023, CMS released the CY 2024 OPPS proposed rule containing substantial modifications and new requirements for hospitals to comply with the CMS Price Transparency Rule. Assuming these proposed requirements become finalized, and CMS allows for a 60-day grace period, hospitals will have a short window to update their machine-readable files by March 1st, 2024.
