At Panacea, we’ve partnered with hundreds of hospitals to produce compliant machine-readable files and patient estimation systems under the CMS Price Transparency rule.

We are pleased to announce we are now offering a client facing version of our Patient Estimation System to provide itemized Good Faith Estimates as required under the No Surprises Act.

We provide a comprehensive CMS Price Transparency suite of services — to assure your prices are compliant, competitive and easily accessible by consumers.

The suite includes the following:

  • Disaggregation Algorithm & Report Set: This module processes thousands of claims and payment data and proprietary coding tables and algorithms to identify top shoppable items and create valuable charge, payment and allowable reimbursement profiles for ALL items and services.
  • Machine Readable File Validation Reports and Production: This module produces a machine-readable file containing gross charges and negotiated managed care rates for all items and services that hospitals can post on their websites.
  • Hospital Zero-Base Pricing®: Using Panacea’s HFMA Peer Review- designated Hospital Zero-Base Pricing software, data is provided to create and update each year defensible chargemaster prices with special analytics utilizing the developed “shoppable list.”
  • Consumer Display/Patient Estimation: Panacea‘s self-service tool allows consumers to obtain out-of-pocket estimates within seconds for the healthcare procedure or service they will be having. They can search by procedure or service name, code, provider, insurer product and more. Estimates are provided on-screen, and consumers can print or email the estimate. The estimation tool includes your organization’s branding and is customizable. Co-pay, coinsurance, and deductible data are imported into our system on a real-time basis. Panacea utilizes responsive technology so that consumers can view and use it on their desktop, tablet or smartphone.
  • Good Faith Estimates: New services and technology that supports hospitals and providers in developing, maintaining and delivering to consumers Good Faith Estimates at the itemized level for all schedulable items and services. Panacea’s state-of-the-art technology combined with statistical analyses, incorporates both hospital and physician charge data producing an all inclusive Good Faith Estimate, as required under the No Surprises Act.

  • Three options for delivery of Good Faith Estimates: 1. Electronic file to upload into your internal or vendor system. 2. Cloud-based system for use in the registration process. 3. Library of charge profiles in PDF format to manually print or email.
